Brighten models the sudden illumination of a charged wire. Pizzicati snap sharply against the fingerboard of the instrument in alternation with different types of bowing up and down the second and third strings. Glissandi cover the exact compass of an octave and the endings of many sounds move back and forth between resonant vibration and a sudden quiet. The gestures of the piece should move quickly in sequence. And flicker and jump.
